In the News

My sister Becky is in The Detroit News today! She gets quoted frequently and has other articles written about her, but for the family it's exciting every time. Yes! I am bragging on my sister, unashamedly. She has many impressive accomplishments to her name, we are all proud of her with each new one. This article was interesting to me because it helped me to understand better what she does in her job. It's funny how well you can know friends and family and yet know very little what they spend their time doing from 9-5. Unless they are in the newspaper! There I go again. I'll stop now. Here's a link to the article, check it out:

Thanks for the posting on your blog Mindy - that is very kind of you.

I got a lot of nice compliments from people today and that made for a rather exciting day!

Yea Becky! I had Mindy's boys over at my house when Grandma called with the news about the article. So I got to enjoy all of the enthusiasm, excitement and pride Becky's nephews and niece (on our side of the family anyway) have for her as we admired her picture and the article. They were all so impressed. Fun to have a famous Aunt! Mary Beth

It is great to have a job that is unusual and interesting enough to get a lot of publicity. Becky has a wonderful work reputation and she has no idea of the size of her "fan club". Just this summer, a good friend of mine (Joanna Cohen from SCS, a native Detroiter who graduated from Grotto and then Wayne State, still a Detroit booster)told me how she was so impressed with a speaker she had just heard talking about Art Deco architecture in Detroit, and wanted to remember the speaker's name as she would go to a future lecture, and it turned out to be BECKY!!! Proud Aunt Chris

We are also very proud of Becky! She once gave me a poster of her book cover. I found a lovely fancy frame for it, and have it on my wall. Go girl!

Mike and I are so impressed! But Mike did point out that Becky is in the news all the time. Mike was too until we got married and I (his publicist) got tired of him going on and on about how famous he is.
